Bry is absolutely correct.
You won't achieve anywhere close to those back of the envelope estimates.
Remember that those motional L and C values are not really an inductor and capacitor, but the electrical analogy of a complex mechanical system. If you try to force the mechanical system to oscillate very far from its natural frequency it quickly gives up in disgust.
Try to push your grandkid on a swing at anything other than the frequency the swing wants to go, and see how fast you get tired :^))

The oscillator will stop long before those kinds of VXO values are achieved. You will be lucky to pull them 1 kHz and still have a decent signal.
I always look for BJ stations around 7121.3 and have had luck so far.
