I have a NS-40 transmitter that puts out a very nice 4.5 watt cw signal into my dummy load, but when I connect it to my antenna(either a vertical or dipole), it creates a 5.5 SWR. All of my other transceivers/transmitters operate into these antennas at about 1.3 to 1.5 SWR.
I cannot get the SWR down even with a tuner.
Any ideas? Are there things about Class E PA's I don't understand?
