Maybe the membership chairman could just send the certificate as a pdf to whomever wants one.
There are 1000s of signatures online...signatures are not a big security breach. How many sign their credit card slip at a restaurant without thinking? The slips may have your name, signature, and last 4 digits of your credit card. Much greater risk! IMO.
