Re: To ATU or not to ATU

Brief answer -- not enough for you to notice it.  The one in the KX3 will match a wide range of un-resonant antennas as well in case you would ever need it.  If it isn't needed on resonant antennas at home, there is a menu item to bypass it.

Need advice...I have been advised that a tuner is not good for QRP if you can avoid it...my antennas are resonate.  Will an ATU such as the KX-3 one (or any ATU) degrade my transmitted (supposedly) 5W?
