Re: FS: antique telephones [1 Attachment]
Dale Putnam
Hi Chas, Yes, you are completely correct, on both. Yes, and I can relate to wife concerns too.. have similar issues here. I hate to see them go too.. But if someone doesn't want them for the cost of shipping..(actual).. then away they go. Someone wants them, I'll clean them to make them presentable to XYL.. so they can be talked about, rather than sworn at.

On that same topic, a telephone museum opened up recently in the
St. Louis area. It traces the 150 year history of phones. They
have a phone booth exhibit, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't one of
the ones used by Superman (hi). I think the phones Dale has for
sale are probably represented, but, believe it or not, they are
near the "modern" portion of the museum.

Hope everyone had a good Field Day this past weekend. I participated only slightly, helping to put up a G5RV antenna and volunteering to put together our ARRL submittal, which is the least fun (but still essential) part of the weekend. If you found yourself rusty with your CW, remember the 4SQRP nets on Wednesday evenings and Thursday mornings. And don't forget the Second Sunday Sprint. The next sprint will be on July 10th. As usual, I'll try to send ample reminders. 72, John AA0VE

FS: antique telephones
Dale Putnam
These would make a super intercom system.. just add a 90v ringing voltage, talk battery.. and away... you go.
Actually.. if there is interest, I will clean them up. IF not.. trash bay. Oh.. and BTW.. I've a complete key system too. if someone wants it.
not qrp.. but all of it runs on low power. Batteries will hold up for a long long long time. FS.. yes.. heavy to ship.. flat rate box will do fine. figure about $20 or so for shipping.. whatever is on the label... we can figure that out before shipping.
Need an intercom to you doghouse? Here it is!!

RMRc net
Dale Putnam
Mother Nature wins this one.. Had AA7CU check in on 20.. but heard no one else.. went to QSY and was reminded to look outside, checked the lightning map, https://www.lightningmaps.org/?lang=en#m=sat;r=0;t=2;s=0;o=0;b=;n=0;y=41.1444;x=-104.6104;z=10;d=2;dl=2;dc=0; and decided discretion is the better part of valor.. so.. cancelled the RMRC net on 40. This is a long term, slow moving, charged storm.. See you Thurs.

Learning to copy code off air with keyboard..........FD
Phil <w0xiphil@...>
file=typing-and-code-062816
The following url address is one of the typing programs I found for
drilling..............
Hey, found this typing program that might help with learning to type
out/copy CW sources via keybaord.
Copied the following off the air: "w4fde 73 and have a good
day"
Yesterday's FD CW experience with a keyboard and n3fjp logging program
prompted this drill activity.
I found that I type reasonably at about 40 WPM, sufficient to copy clear
code at about 20.....
Interference and noise add to the fun!
Give the program listed above a try.

Re: FS NE-Scaf filter
This filter is built up inside a nice compact silver metal box and will
dig out the weakest CW station under these band conditions.\$50.00 shipped and
any location past the mid West add $5.00 for shipping.
I also have the older MFJ 5 WATT CW rigs,40 and 20 Meters.
One has the CW filter and the other has the filter and the
keyer.
Make an offer for both + shipping

Thanks for trying to check in, and FB on the AC-1 Clone. I heard Ken working you but didn't try to break in. If you have, or can find, a Magic Box http://www.4sqrp.com/MagicBox.php you will have the ideal QSK device for a separate transmitter, receiver, and favorite keyer setup. It works like "magic". 72 WAØITP I love this radio stuff. www.wa0itp.com www.4sqrp.com On 6/22/2016 9:52 PM, 'Sam Neal'

Here in NC, 80, 40, 30 and 20 have very few signals - only the strong ones are being heard.

No wonder QRP signals are weak. Nasty propagation devils are to blame - we need some 'angels' for field day. 73, Don W3FPR

Does the Thursday morning net still meet at 8 am CST? I haven't been able to hear anyone for weeks. Conditions are about as bad as I can remember them being and I've been hamming through several cycles. Dale, K4EQ

Last night was a bust, 80 was poor and I couldn't hear anyone. 40M this morning was better. Making it in were Nick WA5BDU, Dale WN0NNY, and Jim KC0DD. VE7FLY made it for one exchange and then was gone.
Thanks to all hope the bands are better next week. -- 72 WAØITP I love this radio stuff. www.wa0itp.com www.4sqrp.com
