PigRig program button stopped working
w1sfr <steverob@...>
I decided to try to realign my xmit freq and adjusted the cap so I heard a good signal on 7030.7 on my big rig.
After doing that, I put everything back together and hooked it up and now I don't have any control of my keyer. What should I look for? Steve W1SFR

TWO RMR rpts in 1
Dale Putnam
Reports for this week.. of 4-2 and 4-4
One can really see the difference a day or two can make in band conditions.. On the 2nd the band was good, with: N4RLO IN K6OIO CA K0DTJ CA AA7CUR AZ AA7EQ AR KG0YR MO AF9W AZ N6MY AZ AD7BP WA (who is getting much improved compared to the first check in) All checking in with good signals. Hope I didn't miss anyone. Coincedentally, I started the net a bit early too. With that for a start, the net started on Thurs a bit early.. not as much as I'd wanted to, tho. But the band wasn't cooperating very well, with signals off, and higher power needed to maintain through deep QSB fades. AF9W AC5EH K0DTJ K7WMA W3HZZ (we kept trying and made it.. in spite of the QSB) We swapped a few numbers, and compared temps. With Spring coming on strong, maybe we could compare gardens next week? Hope to see you Tuesday... 14.0625 at your speed, starting at 2050z or 2:50pm MT. Have a great day, --... ...-- Dale - WC7S in Wy

I'll have my FT-817 set up, I hope (a
lot depends on if I can get the battery to hold a decent charge).
I'll probably work 40m somewhere around 7.285 tomorrow night with
my dummy load, or 80m around 3.985. Both LSB, of course. Maybe
we can get a few of us together for a good old-fasioned
room-to-room rag chew with the dummy loads! Jeremy, N9PH

OzarkCon Withdrawal Symptoms
My thumb and index fingers have a nasty twitch tonight as I would normally be already packed up and ready to pull out tomorrow AM for the great gathering of the clan again this year in Branson. Alas! Too much work and too little time... I did get out to the shack this evening and worked a quickie on 7123 (a QRO mobile NR Nashville, TN) trying to remedy this twitch. I'm really going to miss you all - 72

Re: OzarkCon Update
So far it's a CW event to take place on or about 7.040. Don't see why SSB won't work as well but they will have to pick a frequency somewhere in the General portion of one of the phone bands. See www.ozarkcon.com and click on the "Dummy load QSO party link"

There was talk of a dummy load SSB QSO Party. Has a frequency been determined for this event? I actually packed my microphone, just in case.

Re: OzarkCon Update
I'm leaving tomorrow morning early. Google says about six hours. So, why is today taking so long!! 73 Dan -- KB9JLO PS Terry missed you last night on the net. Between the static crashes and the antenna not loading up good I was doomed.

Re: Piggy Progress
The 3 terminal LM317 is easy to overlook , since it is in a package
just like all of the transistors . So be sure and check the numbers
on your transistors to make sure one of them isn't the LM317 .

It all went pretty smoothly for me on the transformers once I just took a step back slowed down and did it word by word and picture by picture . Take your time and you will have a nice rig . Have a receiver sitting on the piggy factory frequency right now and most of the time I am in the shack . Charlie , W5COV

Wed Nite 80M CW Net
WA0ITP
Last night's net was a lesson in reception and copying CW. Lots of QRN and QSB here in Branson. Additionally my ant is short on 80M and not too efficient. http://www.wa0itp.com/stonecastle_ant.html
It was a struggle on this end and I'm sri if I missed some of you who tried to make it in. Thanks to all who stuck with me to complete the contact. Some were very strong, including WR9H, W4RK, K2HT, but most took all the gain and pain managment I could muster. Sounded like it's time for a hard limiter between the earphones and the rig. K0N will be on the air this weekend and several ops will be using WQ5RP also, so pse look for them around the watering holes, and on QRPspots.com. Checking in were: W4RTK Bill JEFFERSON CITY, MO K2HT Dick WELLSVILLE, MO WB0QQT Steve Lincoln WR9H Herb Rockford, Il KB4QQJ Randy Burlington, NC KD4OBQ Pat Cheyenne, OK W2SH Charles Millington, NJ W0PFO Ray Springfield KC0JQH Kim BONDURANT, IA Thank you agn es hope to cu next week. 72 Terry WAØITP

Have fun in Branson!
Michael McShan <n5jky@...>
I wanted to wish you all a great time in Branson this weekend. I had a great time last year but unfortunately work and a number of other responsibilities just made it impossible this year. I hope to manage some air time this weekend though, so may hear K0N and WQ5RP.
73 and have fun, Mike N5JKY Oklahoma City, OK

It took me even a bit longer to get where you are. I am missing the
three terminal LM317L regulator, but think I have now identified
everything else. Can some tell me Diz's email address?

Hope to get back to construction this afternoon. The two transformers were a total bear, but hopefully they are finally correct. Make sure you look at the picture of T2 before you start winding and installing it, For some reason the light didn't go on until I saw the picture on the next page, 73 de Lee KM4YY Prospective PigRig 157
