Re: WHAT EVERY SPY NEEDS
What would be even more cool would be to have one of those WW2 M1942/FP-45 "Liberator" throw away .45 pistols in the lid instead of that little Kel-Tec. Unfortunately, they are so rare that the few still in captivity now cost thousands of times more than the couple bucks apiece those things cost to make originally - LOL. Jim - W0EB

Price reduced to $750, less than the cost of a new unbuilt K2 kit by itself.

WHAT EVERY SPY NEEDS
Barry Strickland
Standard Equipment - Radio, Looking Glass, Pistol and CYANIDE! OK, so I completed the Bayou Jumper and decided to make a walnut box for it. The project just kind of grew from there. The inlays; The hat, Enigma Machine and looking glass handle were cut from buffalo horn. The glove and eye were cut from Tauga "Ivory" nut. The looking glass frame and lettering are German silver ribbon. The shroud is from a piece of Bocote, I had a time finding a piece that had a cloth grain pattern. Additionally, I just had to do a leather five strand "mystery" weave for the handle. A fun project! Barry, AB4QL

Hi Bob.
I'm in the process of updating the QRPoMeter http://www.4sqrp.com/QRPometer.php and will have a limited number available in a couple of weeks. Enhancements include: expanded power range 10mW to 16W, full enclosure, BNC connectors, better accuracy and easier alignment. I'll post here when they are ready. 73 Dave NM0S

QRP wattmeter - looking for leads (also QRP VSWR meter)
Saw a mention of a QRP wattmeter in a recent posting but I've lost the info. So if anyone could respond with name and model number of any suitable candidates, I would be most appreciative. I believe there are some design's out there that use one of those RF detector ICs that have very wide range and very good sensitivity. 73 Bob Groh, WA2CKY

Gary (KF7WNS) had 15 points and came in 2nd. There was a tie for third place between Johnny (AC0BQ) and Chas (W2SH), each
with 14 points. Paul (N0NBD) had 13 points and John (K4BAI) had 10. The rest were in single digits. Thanks for pointing out the errors of my ways, Gary. If it's any consolation, my spreadsheet reflects the correct scores. I can blame the mistake on a lot of things. "The dog ate my spreadsheet" comes to mind. But I think the answer is I was in a hurry and didn't check my work. Sorry about that. It won't happen again. (Well, it might, but I'll try not to let it happen too often). By the way, the people in the early lead for 2017 are Bill (KV6Z) with 37 total points, Johnny (AC0BQ) with 26, and Gary (KF7WNS) with 23. Chas (W2SH) with 22 points is easily within striking distance, given how early we are in the new year. 72, John, AA0VE
