Re: First qso

Welcome to the Bayou Jumper ranks.  I'm working on interfacing a DDS VFO to mine.  Had to build a buffer amp but still need a tad more gain.  Only getting a bit over a half watt out with the DDS with an untuned buffer amp.  Going with a balanced output as soon as the special transformer gets here.  Circuit will drive the crystal socket on a Hallicrafters HT-42 so it should work on the BJ.

Here is another opportunity for Bayou Jumper ops and other QRP folks...

We have a friendly evening of activity starting this week - every

Monday evening mostly with older homebrew and novice type rigs, on 7100 - 7125 kHz.

Many are QRP and very few above about 45 watts. Good listeners.

It may be a good opportunity for QRP friends to join the fun.

Hope to see some of you on there!

For those who have not heard, Ken Louks (WA8REI) is recovering from another stroke.  He is unable to send, and receive e-mail and asked that I send along his regards to his fellow QRPers.  His mailing address is:

Ken believes he will be at this address for 1 - 2 more weeks and isn't sure where he will be after that.  His home address is good on QRZ.Com for anyone who wants to send a card or note there.  Thank you! / Woody / WD9F

Ge all:
Just a short note to let the group know we have
Plenty of the new EZ keyer internal keyers in stock.

They have all of the features of their big brother but in a nice small foot print that can be mounted inside your Qrp rigs.

We have two versions, thru hole and a very small  SMD version for those of you that would like to try a SMD kit!

Shipped to your door for $22.67 in the US, a little bit more for Canada and DX.

Hope to see everyone at Ozarkcon!
Thanks, 72

If Joe is NOT going to Ozarkcon or doesn't want them, I can bring them with me to Ozarkcon for anyone who wants them.

As you might gather, my goal here is NOT to spend money on postage just to get rid of these chips.  I haven't checked the price of them lately, but I suspect they cost less than what shipping would be.

Anyway, if anyone expresses interest in them, I'll bring them along with me to Ozarkcon.  Otherwise, I'll leave them at home.

That is a nice looking piece of gear!  I was also interested in pics, but the initial cash outlay was not in the hobby budget.
