FT-817 for Sale

Johnny AC0BQ

Ge Group:
Before I list it on Ebay, I would like to post my Yaesu FT-817 that is for sale here.
I had it on the table at Ozarkcon, and I had some interest, but it didn't sell.
It is in great working condition, and is good cosmetic condition.
It has some wear marks on it because it has been used in the field, but it has not been abused. It has two pricey options that are included.
They are a W4RT CW filter board and a BHI DSP filter from W4RT.
If purchased from W4RT these two options cost about $283.00.
It includes the mic,ac charger, a near new battery, a bail that sets it up off of the table,
and the original box and manuals.
I can email pictures on request.

I am asking $500.00 firm and you pay the shipping.
The shipping with insurance will be about 25.00 for USPS flat rate big box.
Paypal is OK,  as well as a USPS money order.

Thanks for the bandwith, 72

It's been raining all day.
I don't know if we're having lightning but I will look at the lightning site and see.

Re: MFJ-927 remote tuner

James Brock <jbrock@...>

I don’t recall they have any remote input.  They “are supposed” to sense the input level if it is under a nominal 20 watts and do the switching automatically.  I have the 1500 w model and it went back to MFJ for repair.  IMHO it is not a very good unit.  I call it the gambler, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t!

One thing I will tell you, hang a 5k carbon resistor from the antenna output to ground to discharge static from your antenna.  A static discharge is the main reason my unit is back to the factory for repairs.  The static from the antenna when through the unit and into my IC7000 and damaged the front end also.

A 5 K carbon resistor or a large coil to ground is a common discharge for broadcast stations that use a series capacitor to the antenna.

Hi... Does anyone have experience with this tuner?  I plan to use one at my home location for my extra long end fed wire and other experimental wire antennas.  They also sell an Icom remote interface cable which would plug into the back of my IC-703+ plus but it's not clear where the other end goes?  Their on line manual is no help unless I missed it somewhere  Hi Hi. There does not seem to be a input terminal on the tuner for anything but RF in thru an SO239.

the transformers primary are not marked with a dot but one side of

Just what I needed for my Mst800 and Mst400 tranceivers. I plan to use
them a lot on PSK.
I hope 4sqrp makes these available in the kit offerings.

for others who didnt attend Ozarkcon the project at the builders hands
on workshop this year was a neat rig to computer interface for digital
