Re: 4SQRP "On Air Activities" on web page
Good Morning David We have a automatic reminder post that has the info several times before the Wednesday nets. I will ask Ron to include the DMR info on the main web page. 73 Johnny AC0BQ

4SQRP "On Air Activities" on web page
davemrtn
I don't know what the official status is of the Wednesday night DMR net, but is it time to add it to the list of Wednesday night on air activities with the info on participating in the net ? I just got my DMR radio going and hope to began to participate starting this coming Wed. I found what I needed to know
about the DMR group/net on groups.io, but I thought we might
want to make it easier for others, or at least to let others
know it exists. -- David Martin - NA1MH - Mountain Home, Ar. ----------------------------------------- Wherever I go, there He is. Recycle, Reuse, Re-purpose, Repair >Professional Sports - An activity for small minds< !! There is a reason it is called "Sports Trivia" !!

QRP kits at Universal Radio
Tom Sevart
Universal Radio currently has several QRP kits for sale in their used list, including a 4SQRP HF test set, Magic box, NS-40, SAVXO kit, and a couple of SS-40 receivers. Also some G-QRP kits. The 4SQRP kits have pretty good prices, and I don't think those are available any more. I beleive they came from an estate sale. Website is universal-radio.com, click on the "used list" button.

Re: TONIGHT'S DMR NET
Good Evening Group I forwarded your kit ideas to the clubs think tank and got a positive reply from one of our designers on the 2 meter cw rig. We will see how it plays out. 73 Johnny AC0BQ

Re: TONIGHT'S DMR NET
Don, W9EBK
Sorry I didn't missed the DMR net, but haven't yet added that mode to the shack. If the 2 meter CW idea gets traction I will suggest it also have AM, and preferably a built in memory keyer (arduino or similar) that will allow for modulated CW as well as true CW. That may sound like a strange request, but AM modulated CW is the approved mode for international Amateur Radio Direction Finding (ARDF). Lack of cheap transmitters has been a big stumbling block to expanding the sport in the US. Thanks for the consideration, Don, W9EBK

Re: TONIGHT'S DMR NET
Nice Net guys! Sorry I missed it. I worked late but also lost most of my voice to a fall head cold. My XYL thinks this might be a good thing!! I will pass the kit ideas on to the kit think thank and see where they go. The 2 meter CW Rig sounds like fun, No doubt it would be unique! 72 Johnny AC0BQ

Re: [DigitalFM] TONIGHT'S DMR NET
Tim N9PUZ
During this evening's net and in previous nets there are occasionally transmissions which get "cut off" and the operator is still talking. I think two things may help with this:
1) Whether you are using a hot spot or a repeater, YOUR RADIO also has a time out timer. On my Tytera MD-380 the default value was 1 minute. It is easy to talk longer than that. I bumped my timeout timer up to 6 minutes to eliminate that problem. 2) Don't kerchunk your hotspot or repeater while someone else is transmitting. This seems to really confuse the system. It's exciting to see the net growing! 73, Tim N9PUZ

Other suggestions a tube type transmitter and receiver, a high quality code practice oscillator, a crystal radio, an antenna and tuner package that was very portable,a 6 meter cw transceiver, to bring back the HF test kit, an 80 and 30 meter hill topper variant, and last and probably least a 60 meter cw rig. DMR Net
N8DAH <Dherron@...>
Just my observation. I watched the TG on brandmeister and saw the same few calls keying up over people more then a few times. I don't think this was done intentionally so not going to point fingers but it locks up the TG and we hear nothing. For the net op and others that are already on the TG we all need to try and leave a few second space to allow people to activate the TG as well. All of that considered I enjoy the 4sqrp Net and look forward to it next week. DMR has its quirks but all in all this net runs better then most on DMR. 73 David N8DAH

You almost made it to ZephyrHills, FL !! Heard your CQ & KV6 ? 2 or 3 times, just not good enough for me to try. :( John KK4itx If you need a parachute and don't have one you probably won't need one again.

Re: DMR NET TOPIC
Brian Crittendon
That sounds good. I like the idea of a small paddle for our kits. How about a NS 160m transmitter or Cricket? I know, a 5 watt 160 meter Cricket. With the sun spots as they are this would be the perfect winter radio.
