Is it good enough the the AM regulars aren’t going to have a hissyfit about less than superlative hi if audio?
They seemed to do that with Dave’s Retro-75 (unless they didn’t know that was what you were using! hi hi..) jer aa1of

Re: Recommendation for a Butane Soldering Iron?
I'm fond of my Dremel 2000-01 VersaTip. It's a bit larger than most, but it has a very comfortable grip, LOTS of fuel capacity, and gets easily hot enough to solder coax connectors! I use it where I can't plug something in. (I COULD connect my TS100 to a 19v power bank, but it doesn't really have enough thermal mass to do a heavy coax connector, and certainly not while outside in the wind.) This model is nicely inexpensive and works fine. $31 on Amazon Prime. 73, Gwen, NG3P

The reason that I ask is because your notice says "DST" - ergo, daylight savings time.

Good morning,
Thank you gentlemen for the recommendations and advice. I knew this was a good place to ask. I'll study these options and ask the recipient a few more questions to zero in on the best option for his needs. Your input is much appreciated, 72, Mike N0TU

November SSS Results
John Lonigro
Congratulations to John, K4BAI, for winning the November Second Sunday Sprint. John had 21 QSO points to lead the pack of 11 participants. John will be receiving his November SSS certificate shortly.
For the year, Carl, WB0CFF, is still in the lead with 158 QSO points, followed by Chas, W2SH, with 150 and John, K4BAI, with 102. Chas reduced Carl's lead by 1 point this month. Will this single point make a difference in the final 2019 standings? Tune in next month to find out (had to add a little suspense-hi). Welcome to Scott Kolar, K0LAR. According to my records, this is Scott's first attempt to join in the Second Sunday Sprint fun. He just got his antenna put up this past weekend and is still trying to get the kinks out. Good luck next month, Scott. For those of you who think it's a waste of time to enter the SSS so late in the season, remember that EVERYONE has the same chance to win an award every month. If you win a monthly contest, you get a color certificate printed on parchment and framed in a genuine wooden frame. Fine print: You have to print the certificate on your provided parchment with your color printer and mount it in your provided wooden frame. The certificate will be sent to you via express email. After the December contest, the monthly winner and final standings will be announced. Certificates will be emailed to the winners. 72, John, AA0VE 4SQRP Contest Coordinator

Ge group Well I must admit, I had my Q2 installed backwards! I removed it and reinstalled, it seemed to make a big difference! 3 watts dead key and well over 10 watts on voice peaks. I will see if Ron will remove my picture. 72 Johnny

I'm assuming you mean Q2, not C2? We don't want to confuse an already confused situation. John, AA0VE

Yes, in any event C2 has to be assembled opposite what the board silk screen shows.

So... both directions are wrong????

My experience with the Nouveau 75
w9ran <w9ran@...>
I'd been planning to write a review of the Nouveau 75, which has turned into something of a long-winded (hey it's AM right?) summary of my building and troubleshooting experience, along with a few measurements and on-air reports, which I've posted on my website:
http://tinyurl.com/w5saw83 To repeat: I like it, warts and all! The Nouveau 75 is an innovative design, a great value, performs well for what it was intended to do, and is a lot of fun to use. It's the first thing I turn on when I walk into the shack now! 73, Bob W9RAN
