In light of the current Coronavirus outbreak and in the interest of caution for the medically vulnerable individuals in our group, 4SQRP has decided to cancel Ozarkcon 2020. Stay tuned as we continue to refine our plans.
Please contact the Hotel to cancel your reservations.
Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

May want to wait about saying Dayton (Xenia) won't happen. That's in May, approximately 2 months away. Lots can happen in 2 months. 73 de n4mj//glenn “PLEASE REMOVE all email addresses before you send it on and use BCC option when forwarding" Thank you!

Reluctantly not going to make it to 2020 Ozarkcon
My wife and I have decided that, despite signing up etc, we will not be going to the 2020 Ozarkcon. Very disappointing but, in view of the uncertainty around Corvid-19 and the increased medical risk for us, we just feel it wiser to forego our trip. That means that I will not be able to help out at the kit building on Friday night. Darn. I was really looking forward to that!! We have, of course, paid our fee's and we do not expect nor want any reimbursement. The very best to all - stay well!! Bob and Bettina Groh

Re: 40 AND 80 METER NET REPORT
Johnny, I appreciate your offer but It's really not necessary for me to check in so much as for me to try to figure out and get around the propagation issues. One night I'll make it and it will be like a rebirth. When Bill ran the Net he was in my "sweet spot" and it was way too easy. I often set up WSPR on 40m around 3:00 Eastern and leave it monitoring and reporting the Spots as the Gray Line moves from Europe to the U.S. I am just amazed at how quick the switch can be thrown off. I also do QFOX and on Tuesday I got my first Pelt since Feb. 2019 on 40m and the Top Guns to my North & North East did not, usually it's exactly the opposite...……. just like Real Estate...…… location, location, location ! So it's all fun and discouraging at the same time and that keeps it from being boring I guess. Ok, thanks. Thought it was strange, but might be some kind of new interface. Easy to confuse an 80 year old fart ham! :-) Frank

Re: DELTA MIKE ROMEO NET
John Lonigro
My guess (and that's all it is) is he meant he was multitasking:
Making contacts with the Cricket 40 (on HF in the usual way) while
waiting his turn to speak on the DMR net. Nothing else makes sense.

Hi folks, I'm confused. I just read a post about a guy that got 7 contacts in a row with a Cricket 40 on the 4SQRP DMR net. I understand hf qrp with the Cricket (have a Cricket 80A). I understand vhf/uhf dmr communications (own a uhf repeater, but don't do any dmr stuff). BUT . . . . I don't understand the connection. He didnt say he talked about the cricket while on the dmr net, he said the cricket 40 contacts were made while on the dmr net. How? Frank N6CES

Re: 40 AND 80 METER NET REPORT
Johnny, I thought that tonight was the night on 40m because you were S9 into Florida from the start til midway with Paul then you dropped from sight and I never heard you again ! I did hear some chatter on 80m which is better than usual but nothing to work. This QRP is not easy but I think that it is making me a better OP just for trying ! 73, John KK4ITX Click Here for Zephyrhills Area Amateur Radio Club Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up. ![]()

FS: Digital Dial
Paul Goemans
Hello all,
I have for sale my QRP Guys Digital Dial. Built
into a heavy gasketed plastic box, wired with an internal 4xAA cell holder,
power switch, and BNC signal input jack. The box is 4.5” x 3.5” x 2”. Set up as
a frequency counter, but an IF shift could be programmed in if desired. Heck
this could be the foundation for a rig in a box!
I used it with an HW8 I no longer own. Will ship to US address for
$35 check or Paypal.
