Re: Twenty years a major change occured to the QRP amateur radio hobby
Curt
Got mine out of drawer and had QSO with another TX op on 7.054+- about 300 miles from here. He was at 1W from a Flex, my 40-9er putting out about 1/2W. We were both 559. The low frequency of the offset is the main issue for me with the radio.

Re: 40 and 80 Meter Net report
Gm Paul Sorry about that. The QRN on my end was horrible. I usually have great copy on Dale, but I just barely could make out his info. Better luck next week? 72 Johnny AC0BQ

Re: Sasquatch Stomp Score sheets and posting the results
Wayne McFee
Hi
Frank,
Our group really doesn’t have a set time or frequency
range to listen to at the present time. On thing you could do is either
listen to or check in to Stewart, KE7LKW’s slow speed CW nets. The times
and frequency for those nets are on his QRZ.com bio, but here is the
info.
PNW QRPp Net: Less than one watt, round robin net; 0730 Wednesday morning on 3540 Khz.(update 10/28/19) Send QRPp and carry a big antenna! Pacific Northwest North American QRP CW Club Net: PNW NAQCC QRS Net: 3556.5 Khz 6PM PT after March 8 (4PM winter) Thursday Evenings with early QNI at 5:45PM after March 8 (3:45PM Winter): QRS (slow speed) rag chew net. NCS Stewart KE7LKW White Salmon WA.(update 3/12/20) We are in the process
of working out a SSB net to sort of replace our monthly Pie and Coffee
gatherings since we are needing to stay home and stay safe. Please check
out our webpage at
pnwqrp.org
as we’ll be posting info there on the
P&C (Pie and Coffee) page.
For info, most of the guys who check in
to Stewart’s nets are members of our group.
Hope that helps.
73,
Wayne

Thanks for the idea Bob W9RAN !

I purchased the 31 ft jackite pole & mounted it insulated from, and 2 ft above my 900 ft long chain link fence. The 12 ga wire radiator is taped up the jackite pole & is a total of 33 ft in length. At the bottom I use a 4:1 unun with ground/radial lug bonded to the fence top rail & tension wire. Picture attached. To my surprise it has worked gang busters and the tuner in shack has no problem with 10-40 meters since the SWR is fairly low already. 80 meters is doable but is understandably inefficient. When I get motivated I’ll put out some radials but for now this is a perfect Summertime antenna that’s easy to mow around once I bury the coax. I added a few Dacron guys and it survived some crazy Kansas wind the past 2 weeks. 73 and thanks again for the great ideas and shared knowledge in this group. I hope you are all healthy. Will K0WDO
