I tried calling you, but QRN was terrible - and the tornado warning siren really gave your audio a run for the money! Ur sigs about 359+QRN in Ohio. Will listen again at 8:30 CDST.

Thanks for the nice turn out on 40m
I called CQ a few times with the 4S PIG RIG and didn't get any takers.
I switched to my 817, but the band was still thin.
I was able to hear though!
817 says it is on 7.122 so now I wonder where my Pig Rig is? Did anyone
copy me in the first 5 minutes???

Thanks

locally sourced will be the battery. I'm a bit excited about this.

PHDqrp

Walter - K5EST

Four State QRPers, there is NO PHD of QRP, only close
race is the Hall of Fame via QRP-ARCI.

With the knowledge, willingness to help/elmer others, and
a club of folks that like to build radio gear. I am thinking
that we have talent that needs to be rewarded by deed,
action, and knowledge.

Remember, this is for a certificate that reads "PHDqrp",
so its not a lightweight achievement, but the ones
that qualify will be noted in the Clouds of Propagation
(a floating hall of fame)

Some of the requirements might be,
...1,000 QSOs in 12 months or less
...Elmer at least 1 new Ham
...Present a segment/topic for OzarkCon
...Design a working circuit, not copied.(Spice, etc, is useable)
...Active in 4 state on-the-air activities (minimum QNI is 1 per month)
...QSO at least 5 SOTA stations
...volunteer to NCS a 4 state net
...build a telegraph key,or microphone, or headphone/headphones
...author an article for the Ozark QRP Banner
...
...
and I will volunteer to keep track of folks reporting their
achievements as they complete them.

OK, now those are my first thoughts..... HELP Please....by
voicing your opinions, award requirements, or anything else
that needs saying.

Hope is to make this PHDqrp, one of the most sought after
awards in QRP, and of course brought to the QRP Nation
by 4SQRP.

Thanks for reading!

Propagation

The poor propagation is no mystery.
The Sun spot count went from 210 sunspots on (5/11 or 5/12) to
about 22 sunspots at present.
Check out :

It was a big drop........hope the sun pops some new spots for field day

I suppose it's good advice to remind people to NEVER click on links in email that consist solely of a link. That's a dead giveaway that it's a malware link. It's also a good idea to keep your malware & virus scan software updated.
