and at your speed.
Join in, practice a bit of cw. Rust is ok.. and dust in fine..
We're already used to that...no problem.
and QRO is ok too.. when the band isn't quite as good as it could be.
(that's pretty much all the time) We want to practice cw.. chat a bit and
have some fun... not struggle to hear.
See you this afternoon.   2:45pm MDT

Have a great day,

40 m Net

Johnny AC0BQ

Gm group:
40 meters was tough to say the least, last night.
I had a local QRN level of S8.
I could hear the first couple of letters of call signs and then they would, just fade into the noise?

Here are the results:
Early Net:
WA0ITP
KF0XV

Late Net
AA7EQ

Thanks to all that tried, hopefully next week will be better.

I tried, but W1AW was really honkin' tonight. It's normally a 20 over station I can filter. Tonight it was 60 over, that's as high as my meter goes, and filtering it out also took out the net. I sent a couple of
1 x 2's for a check in but had no real hope..... Always next week.

FOX: WOW! Way to Go Hounds!

Dale Putnam

It is apparent this morning, the FOXii are quite a few pelts less than yesterday at this time.
And the pelting was exciting and rewarding. I enjoyed listening to the pack as individuals vied for
the Foxii, chasing each other round and round, that tree.
Bert, Doc, TJ, Greg, and many many others all had a grand time.
Boy am I happy the summer hunts are back. John offered up a pelt with just a couple calls, one well placed one,
the two previous were the famous but ineffective, "shot in the general direction"... one can fast see why the dx pileups get so
unruly. Our packs are much more informative to listen to.
Unfortunately, there was a Thunder Storm.. otherwise and more accurately known as a Lightning Storm all around when the hunt started. It seems that this was the origin of Jay's static. Coordinating between qsb swells, lightning swells, and pack swells, is an interesting challenge.
A note to the wise, there is a reason why we all need to have an effective static discharge circuit on each of our antennas, and on the radio we are using.

This sure is fun!!
See you next week, when the next pair of FOXii get loose.

Have a great day,

RMR&C report

Dale Putnam

July 16 was a lot of noisy and not so good conditions,
KE6OIO and KE7ZCU from CA and WA made it in. Conditions were
not real good at all.
But the band made up for it on 7/18
W3HZZ - Phil
W5HNS - Henry
KI6J - Stu - 1st time
WB9PQI - John - 1st time
KG0YR - Larry
AE7EQ - Bob 1st time
KK4BNC - Jim - Ga

One was 71yr young, and with a very good fist. He didn't make any mistakes... (unlike your NCS)
Now I don't know if the antenna changes I made during the last two weeks were good or bad...
but it is working better today.. so it gets left alone for a while.
Thank you all,
C U next week.
