Contest and Sprint Coordinator change
GE 4SQRP, we have a new Contest and Sprint Coordinator, as of this coming January 2014. John Lonigro - AA0VE...member # 163 jonigro@...
John, is not new to 4SQRP, in fact I can't remember not seeing him at OzarkCon when I have been there. He going to be busy getting setup for the January start of the Sprint season, and I will continue to accept the December SSS sprint totals. The totals for November and December shall be turned over to John, so no Sprint contacts are lost.
Thank you everyone for making the 4SQRP Sprints a fun event. 72/73....Walter - K5EST editor : Ozark QRP Banner

CQ WW CW
Jim
I have always done this contest at 100 Watts. Today I am doing it at 5 watts. Some ops snickered at me and said you can not do DX at 5 watts. Well, in playing for just 3 hours I have Cayman Is., Brazil, Peru, Mexico, Aruba, Curacao, Ecuador, St. Kitts & Nevis, Turks & Caicos Is., Canada, Japan, Spain, Italy, Chile, Canary Is., Balearic Is., Germany, Slovenia, Bulgaria, France, Czech Republic and Croatia. I think the next time they snicker at me, I will throw them a candy bar. I think I like this QRP stuff. Jim, NV9X

OT: Totally off topic - Spitfire Photo Pilot
Don Jackson
Hi,
I don't usually post on such an unrelated topic to this discussion list, but I know many on this list are interested in flying and WW2 aircraft and I'd like to share this with you. This link and comments were sent to me from a friend. I think you may enjoy watching the short and professionally produced film about a flight doctor and a Spitfire photo mission pilot. Don AE5K A must see! And excellent story. http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=ie3SrjLlcUY&sns=em Spy pilots are a very special breed. Their only defense are their planes and their brains.
