I have to think that spam sales went up after that clip came out.  I was only 6 years old so I wouldn't remember that kind of thing (grin).

I was thinking I had seen a radio in a spam can; finally located it:

http://www.qsl.net/n0rc/rm/Rock-Pile/k6bbq/k6bbq.html

Perhaps there are others out there??

That inspires an idea; a truly "minimalist" QRP rig designed to fit in a spam can.  Very low parts count, short build time, etc. etc.

With all the joking going around about people stuck in the Ukraine, I'm adding a slight twist to this month's SSS contest. Anyone who has a QSO with a 4SQRP member actually in the Ukraine during the sprint gets his score doubled! I'll have to think what evidence I'll need before accepting anyone's claim, but an email from the contact, asking for money, does not count.

All joking aside, the Second Sunday Sprint is tomorrow, 7:00 - 9:00 PM CST. Don't forget! If you've misplaced the rules, they are posted on 4SQRP.COM, under "4SQRP On Air Activities". And they are the same as last month's rules.

At present I have no aluminum foil, I do have some 2000 Troy ounce gold bars, and lots of cash, if these could be of help let me know.

If you want to I could send you one gold bar, that aught to buy several 2N2222 devices for your operation, just sent me $136.42 to cover the cost of shipping and processing and I will send you one 2000 Troy oz gold bar.
