Re: NM0S at FDIM
Nick-WA5BDU
I managed to get to Dayton / FDIM for
only the second time this year. David not only scored with the
HoF recognition and the homebrew contest, but also gave his talk
on the POW receiver to an appreciative audience. 72, Nick, WA5BDU

To all:
I'm home from Dayton, and catching up on emails, and I have to say I'm still overwhelmed by all this. I'm very appreciative of this show of support, and very grateful for the honor. The QRP community is the best part of Ham Radio, and 4QRP is a great group to be part of. 73 Dave NM0S

anybody else catch the dx to euro EA today?
Phil Anderson
Thought the bands were dead today at 2 PM so mowed the yard.
Came back in and noticed on www.dxmaps.com that 20/15/and 10 had some openings. Got on 15m first and kept hearing CQ "EA" and call. Turned to the WA7BNM contest site and found EA is a Spain "test," noting that no-spain stations should send RST and a nr. That opened the DX gate: OH6DEO, EF0JC, HN7Q (IRAQ), EF8U, PY2YU, SP9LJD, and more. What fun! Iraq was a new one for me. Most of this is enabled by the many DX oriented sites on the web. It got me thinking again about the talk at Ozarkcon on Reverse Beacon Networks. Neat stuff. 72, unc Phil, W0XI

Warbler progress
Paul Smith
I found, loaded and installed the fldigi no problem. I also got all the cords hooked between the computer. Should I be able to hear audio in an earphone at the out jack of the warbler? I don't.... I did find my instructions and will read and study them this weekend and see what direction to go. Heck I am not sure the audio in and out is set in the computer so I have some more looking and learning in Ubuntu. Back to the desk and get to reading. I had the pig on all evening but never heard any signals. I cqed a little but no takers.... Cu tomorrow.
