I moved the equipment around for " ergonomics " and should have left it alone. My Ameritron ALS-600 400 Watt amp I use on the 7290 Traffic Net refuses to come out and play. I now have both the 6T9 and the 6V6 right in front of me for easy crystal changing. All I could squeeze out of the Chinese 6V6 last night was 1 Watt ( on the factory built Oak Hills Research WM-2 ) (?), so your new SS-40 is to be congratulated on pulling me out of the heavy QRN last night. I should have the MFJ 90XX rigs back on later today. The 4SQRP Net(s) are always a pleasure. 73, Sam Neal N5AF _______________________________________________________________________

Whew, I didn’t think I was going to make it and I think you were probably generous with the 449 you game me. You were honest to god 599 but QSB would take you into the noise but bounce right back up. Most guys I was hearing almost as good as I was hearing you but so much QRN!!
I’ll see what it is like in the morning!!! cu, Bart OBTW, Joe has been trying to get back a freq counter from me for a while and I saw the SEK club was having coffee at Starbucks at 9 this morning so I went over. Joe never sat down he was manic with the rush from FDIM and all the goodies he had accumulated. He got a Chinese Freq. Counter for 78 bucks, a RasberryPI, and pair of glasses with a 20X loupe on them for 10 bucks that I must find on the internet!!!!! I think I could do so simple building with them! He was flying high:-) Meet a couple of very nice hams that are part of the SEK club. I just don’t want to get back into 2 meter FM.

I managed to get to Dayton / FDIM for
only the second time this year. David not only scored with the
HoF recognition and the homebrew contest, but also gave his talk
on the POW receiver to an appreciative audience. 72, Nick, WA5BDU
