Pig Rig arrival
The pig has landed . Pig number 172 landed this morning in Oklahoma .
Unfortunately there is a hamfest this afternoon/evening and tomorrow in Claremore , OK. , so after I rest up , probably will begin work on the pig rig starting Sunday . Looking forward to putting a kit together for a change . Charlie , W5COV

The next day I agn got a report I was xmitting all over the 40 meter band. Listen on my KX3 and sure enough my troubles are back. Connect dummy load. Still the same. Change keyer to straight key mode and viola now only xmitting on 7030.7. Go bk to using paddles and all OK. Turn rig off and reconnect ant, and turn on rig. Now am all over the band. Switch to straight key mode and all is Ok. So now go back to using keyer with paddles and all Ok. Try turning rig off and on. Agn I must go to straight key first and then to paddles. So something in the key line is causing this! Rats I hate to have to remove it again from the enclosure! 72 George/W2BPI | | | | ------------------------------------ | | 4SQRP Website: http://4sqrp.com | OzarkCon is coming April 5-6 in Branson, MO | View Details at http://www.ozarkcon.com/index.phpYahoo! PigRigTP-19 Enclosures
WA0ITP
If you want to use a TP-19 enclosure for your rig, I will be happy to supply a
.pdf file label for you, like mine, but with your call, serial number and mo/yr finished. Picture here. http://www.wa0itp.com/ Ten Tec sales just checked their TP-19 stock for us. "I show 20 TP-19 in stock (report ran 3 days ago), and 45 TPB-19, and zero TPC-19 (though I believe a few of this model went into stock yesterday)." http://www.tentec.com/products/TP%7B47%7DTPB%7B47%7DTPC%252d19---~---4.620-x-1.810-x-3.644--Aluminum-Enclosure.html ---------------------------------- I love this radio stuff ! 72 WAITP www.wa0itp.com www.4sqrp.com www.qrpspots.com

I was saddened to not see my #154 in the PO Box yesterday. Although
the pain was relieved some what by three other packages with "stuff"
ordered from China.

K8IQY PVXO and Other Crystal Measuring Info
All,
I've had several inquiries about the PVXO that I designed many moons ago to measure crystal parameters, so that they could be used in crystal filters. That project, along with the Crystal Drive Circuit, are located on my web site. Here is the URL: http://k8iqy.com/testequipment/pvxo/pvxopage.htm The NJ QRP group at one time offered a PVXO kit, but those sold out a long time ago. But, if you ask on QRP-L, someone might have a kit they didn't build, or a completed kit they would sell. We never kitted the Crystal Drive Circuit, as it took way longer than anyone expected to sell the 100 PVXO kits. We decided not to another "limited popularity" kit. :-) The paper that I presented at Atlanticon is also available for download at the above URL. Have fun....... 72, Jim, K8IQY

I'm doing the research now
Terry,
Any suggestions will be welcomed. I can of course use
the software that comes with the KX3. It works great for idle chats and simple
qso's but if I decide to get into a contest I'll need something else. I'm
presently looking at FLdigi and N1MM. Any
suggestions?

Piggie sustains injury
random.path
My little Piggie (145 I think) came earlier this week, and I've been a-building it. Unfortunately, I got a little too much in the spirit, and in ham-handed fashion broke one of the toroids. That was an oinker. Oh well, replacements ordered, and if anyone else needs an FT37-61 toroid, I'll have some extras (minimum order was 25 of them for $7.00).

RMR net Report
Dale Putnam
The Thurs edition of the Rocky Mountain Regional net met today, with an
outstanding number of checkins: W3HZZ Phil - Ga K0DTJ Brian - Ca NS7E Art - Mn WE9F Woody - IL KA4RUR Fred - Mo W2SH Chas - NJ WA0ITP Terry - IA KO1U Mark - Me AF9W Bob - Az NE5DL Dave - Tx AD7BP Bob - Wa AL7V Sam - AK NO0N Barney - Mo This is great!! What a super bunch of cw ops. All with good fists, at various speeds... and that is testing my ability to get to the speed to match at the right speed. Hope I got close. Sorry if I missed anyone. You've might noticed that I called the net a bit early today, and it ran longer than usual. And later is ok with me, and starting a bit earlier is ok too.. in order to have enough room to check everyone in, and each have enough time to send at least a couple of transmissions. The more practice we get.. the better we are. Right? The other neat thing that happened today.. is even with a temp antenna here, and an endfed long wire there... we had a check in from Alaska. He was being polite and waited until the checkin call left a bit of space. The QSB was tuff on Sam... but at least we got him. So, until next Tuesday, have a wonderful weekend, and stay warm... even tho there was an 85 reported today, most temps were in the 40s and 50s. Have a great day, --... ...-- Dale - WC7S in Wy
