That's beautiful - excellent joinery in the internal partitions too! I have one of the big boxes and I might just attempt something similar. I see you also put a digital knob pot on yours.

I can add that the receiver is quite stable though the tuning is quite
fast so a steady and slow hand is required to tune in another station

The Norcal 40-9er is pretty impressive as simple as it it. Mine only puts out about 1/2W, but it has snagged QSOs as far as 1000 miles. Built mine about 8 years ago using board from Far Circuits.
