We've had some reports of the Tx section of the Bayou Jumper giving troubles, and in at least a few cases the trail led to the final transistor Q4 (IRF-510).

Mine failed to work because my old eyes allowed me to swap capacitors. I ended up using a USB microscope to read them, swap two and it worked great.

You are correct. Last week I ordered some IRF-510 transistors from mouser and they just arrived this morning. result the Bayou Jumper now generates 6 watts of rf power into the antenna. I did check

Hello Wayne, Make sure you are transmitting "zero beat" with NCS. I am not familiar with your radio, but if you have another receiver, check to see if your signal is very near to the same pitch as
