Re: Mobile for RV?
I recently stayed in an RV on a permanent site, which shares external AC power with two other sites (so the max current draw is limited). My QRP Norcal40A was running 40M into an inverted V wire

Doc
If you do mobile operating mostly in place something like the wolf river coil could work. I just received mine and quality is quite good.

Can you tell us a little more about "What" the RV is? Class A, 5th wheel, Class C etc...
I've been RV'ing over the past 40 years with different recipes. Most recent is Fleetwood Expedition. On

Re: August Ozark QRP Banner
I too, enjoyed the fantastic August Banner! Glad to read that maybe a 20m Cricket? Now, I'll be looking forward to seeing a 20m CW net to follow. 20m would be a better band for me to KS from

I have to send my regrets for Brutus. Sad that I have to miss it, but I didn't know it was going to happen and I am scheduled to work - through the 12th. Maybe next year.

Check out the Little League World Series on ESPN
Just heard a player profile... the Tennessee shortstop/pitcher, Ryan Pearson, is KN4VKW.
Send that young man a QSL card!

Hi Mike . . .
There is a caveat hidden among all the suggestions you'll get about HF mobile antennas and that is the potential risk to your vehicle's electronic systems

Re: Mobile for RV?
The Band Spanner is great, was always one of the top mobile choices back when it was new. Just be aware that there's a lot of force on that 3/8" mounting stud when you're going down the road.

If you will rarely qsy across a band, check out wolf River coils. Manual tune version of a Tarheel. The smaller one will do 40 and 20 meters, works with a standard mobile whip.

Re: Mobile for RV?
If you installed an autotuner like the Icom AH-4, you could load up a mobile whip or (almost) any length
end fed wire when you get to a camp site. This works great on all bands too. A few

For convenience and good general performance Tarheel Antennas have worked well for me in the past. Here’s their website: <https://www.tarheelantennas.com>
You could use “hamstick” type
