Re: Bad weekend on the bench with an SDR-Cube Kit
I finally managed to get a decent photo of the bent lead. I just don't know if I have the magnification and lighting to fix it myself. I only saw it with the help of a 10x jewelers loop and I can't

One corner lead is bent and laying on top of it's neighbor. I'm trying to take a somewhat decent photo of it. To try and save it, I'm going to have to make some serious lighting and magnification

If it is just a bent pin then take a jewelers screwdriver and heat the pin while using the screwdriver to nudge it right. Very few mistakes are fatal to a kit. I have an ats I burned off a trace

Bad weekend on the bench with an SDR-Cube Kit
I had really high hopes in my skill to pull off assembly of this kit but I am off to a terrible start even after doing a fair amount of practice SMT soldering before hand.
The I/O board came out

With condx the way it has been and QRP I'm not anticipating more then one or two two contacts. But I also expect to have a whole lot of fun.

SSS is tonight!
Don't forget. Tonight's the night for the 4SQRP monthly sprint, starting at 7:00 pm CDT. If you are reluctant to get on the air because your fist is rusty, this is the perfect opportunity to shake

GA Tom,
Checkout the NS-40 group photos. I uploaded a simple rf driven t/r switch a loong time ago. It was part of my cardboard combo and worked quite well.

I originally built the Bill Carver L/C meter (I did not know it also did "R"), and it worked quite well.
I did not get to the point of creating a spreadsheet to translate the readings, but
