It was much easier for an out of region stranger to mingle in chat text and a maybe a couple vocalizations during break discussion, than it was attending 3 or 4 live events when they were here. I was glad to be warmly engaged. Glad also to see the prize winners expressing appreciation. Keep touching the silicon, tickling the ions and appreciating its all been given to us. Thanks for hosting.

One of the base beliefs of 4SQRP has always been "No Rules - No Dues" and as a byline we make our own money to advance QRP fun!

Ozarkcon,  is an excellent event that has  many many members helping with event  plus radio equipment designs, testing, components acquisition, kitting/shipping, and support when something doesn't go right. Nope, we aren't perfect but making QRP kit building fun seems to be working.

Congratulations to the winners and Ocon attendees and staff for still being the best of the best!

I won the Begali and never win anything either. So I am going to echo your question. Is there anything you guys need me to do for that?

The event was great! Thank you to all the speakers and people who made the event happen.

All,

Everyone who attended, whether they one a prize or not, should consider that it takes a huge amount of effort and expense to put on either the in-person Ozarkcon or the virtual one like this year's edition. Please support 4SQRP by purchasing a kit even if you just want to donate it as a prize for Ozarkcon 2022! Remember, all those nice prizes take actual 4SQRP cash to ship to the winners!

Nope. Just be patient. They have about 150 prizes to ship but they’ll ship to you automatically according to info on Ozarkcon webpages(s).

Ozarkcon SSS tonight!

I think the last "sanctioned" Ozarkcon event of 2021 will be the April Second Sunday Sprint (Ozarkcon edition).  Same rules and everything, except a prize will be awarded to the person who finishes first this month.  The prize will be the winner's choice of 1) a K1SWL Freq-Mite audio frequency meter  or 2) an NM0S Hi-Per-Mite CW Filter.  Go to the kit section of 4sqrp.com to read about these prizes.  And go to the "On-Air Activities" section to find the contest rules.

I registered early and then was informed by my XYL of 57 that she found a open week to go south for our first trip in 13 months.
Guess who won?  HI
So we spent Ozarkcon on our way to Panana City Beach.

Hope to see everyone next year in person.

Thanks to all the people that made this happen

I agree that the lap top can work in any room,  I simply

walked into the living room with a BIG  screen TV plugged in the

cables and watched all the presentations from the recliner  !  The size of the picture

made it seem like the presenters were in the room with me.   I watched them all

And there was lots of neat stuff at the vendors' tables, was totally
free and I didn't even have to move it.  Of course it all looked like
the exact same stuff I already have.  Plus my wife didn't get mad about
me buying a new radio.

And let's not forget the vendor tables.  I always enjoy buying goodies from those tables.

I agree with you in all respects but one.

I truly missed the fellowship of fellow attendees while queuing for meals or break necessities, sharing meals, and rubbing shoulders to examine the keys and projects.

Thanks to those who put forth all the efforts to make OzarkCon 2021 this great success for all of us observers. Superior production, folks.

Hope to be there with all who can next year.

OzarkCon Transcription

George Phoenix

Like many my age I'm not deaf, but I suffer from CNS (Can't Hear Sh1t).  I recently found the app "Live Transcribe", and it has changed my life.  I've been using it during Zoom calls, so I had it on hand for OzarkCon.  Given the average age of an OzarkCon attendee (we did a show of hands a couple of years ago), it occurred to me that others might benefit from it too.  So I made an impromptu additional connection with my tablet, and aimed it at my phone.

I don't know if anyone else used it, but I pinned it on Zoom, and it worked for me.  I had some technical problems.  At one point it lost power and I had to reboot it.  Well, as luck would have it, Windows 10 decided that this was a splendid time to update, which took a while...

All things considered, I thought OzarkCon went pretty well.
