Neat way to solve this weakness of the QRP-o-meter! In my opinion this the only problem with the meter.

OT: For Sale, 1962 Vibroplex "Champion" Bug (changes)
Paring down my collection just a bit -- On the block is a nice Vibroplex "Champion" model, vintage 1962 in good operating condition with an extra weight to slow it down some. Base is grey crackle

Good idea.
I was one of the prototype builders and I made a plate from some old plexiglass I had and used longer screws with spacers to keep mine from shorting out!

Oh forgot to mention, if you increased the height of your apex a few feet to roughly
0.66 of a quarter wavelength the only thing that would change is a VSWR of 2.9 to 1.9.
Not worth climbing
