W0ERE 10M Beacon
I see Al's 10M beacon on the RBN every day, and am just wondering if anyone
heard it direct? Al do you get many signal reports? How much power are you
running?
I've often thought about a club

I know that my MixW software (older version) is capable of tone-generated CW as we'll DM780 from Ham Radio Deluxe (again, older version).
I have never tried it. My digital interface (mfj1279)

What external multi-mode boxes with keyboard and those using an internal sound-card-based system then do (if ever) transmit of CW via tones? Thought I read that somewhere?
Unc Phil.

Re: CW via USB or KEY Jack with some digital-modes/systems
The 4S-Link rectfies the audio to drive a switch for the Key jack on your rig. No modulated CW for the mic jack and normal keying CW mode for the rig. Sweet!

Hi Jim,
Just curious......saw somewhere wherein the digital interfaces for "modes" also use tones for CW into the mike jack in some cases AND that this means one must use USB or LSB instead of key
