Thanks for the responses. I did finally get it all together and into a box. I think it'll be handy on things with no CW selectivity like the Argonaut 505 and my various homebrew

It was a little rough on 80 lastnight. The A index was 19 so propagation wasn't so hot. But severalsignals pierced the aether. AA7EQ was a first timer, thank you Robert, andthanx to all who tried.

The VRX-1 didn't have a 10MHz crystal - you must have already done some experimenting with it!
