CW via USB or KEY Jack with some digital-modes/systems
Hi Jim,
Just curious......saw somewhere wherein the digital interfaces for "modes" also use tones for CW into the mike jack in some cases AND that this means one must use USB or LSB instead of key

I use one of the cheaper ones here. Ftdi chip set. Works great for me. One on a pc and one on a Mac.

I've got a drawer full of converters that don't work. I gave up on them and installed a dual outlet serial card, problem solved.

Just about anything with an FTDI chipset is MUCH better than the Prolific stuff. Elecraft actually discontinued use of the Prolific ones over a year ago and went to the FTDI chipset. Much more
