I use an Island Keyer II and can't say enough good things about it.
Mine uses only the speed pot and I power it with 2 penlight batteries which last over a year even tho I never turn it

7122 club freq
Flying Pigs will often send oo rather than CQ on the PigRig freq. We could have
a little fun on 7122 doing that also. Instead of CQ just send 4 and see if a
member calls back.

GE all:
I'm building a keyer to go with one of my tube rigs.
It's grid block keying and I'm using a keyer adaptor
form HamGadgits.
I decided to use the Island Keyer II because it's

Re: antenna issue found
I saw 2 guys do that at ARRL Field Day one year and bring up the local 2 meter repeater for a short QSO off of a small tree. Pretty wild!

Re: Pig Rig
Terry,
Thanks for the label!
When I mentioned using a 14-pin IC socket cut in half, I should really have
said "cut into quarters", meaning cutting across through pins #4 & #11, and
being cut
