I registered for Ozarkcon and paid for a kit. I could not go this year because I was hospitalized for weeks with a severe lung infection. Could someone send me a kit?

Thanks, Dave. I have not installed R5 yet, I was just concerned about it. I will try shifting the spacer nearest R5 and seating R5 as close to outline as possible. This how I have the spacers

Kent-
It should be possible to shift the spacer (nearest to R5 slightly rearward. I've examined my two Hilltoppers and the resistors are fully down. If you've already installed R5, heating each joint

Re: CQ 20m
Of course! And as for the bands being dead, I did great with the QSO party, but even still 61 QSOs in 3 days is pretty good for abysmal band conditions.

Re: QRP newbie question.
20M has been best for QRP operation from my QTH. Have also found that posting on QRPspots.com and/or https://sked.skccgroup.com/ will help draw contacts
I will listen for around that time on 20M.

Re: QRP newbie question.
I would start with 20 meters at that time of the day. But you have to be patient. You’re not going to spin the dial and find a bunch of QSO. If nothing at all is heard, move to 30, then 40

I would think 40 would be your best, but you have to catch the sun spots. On MARS we found that 60 meters is the most reliable at lest for the short haul. Mark/AAV5QK/WQ8S
