Re: QRP QUARTERLY 25 years & More - Journal Collection DVD 2020 ( ... Onwards ... )
Be patient Andy,
You may not have to wait too long to be part of the United Kingdom. It may work better then.

Re: What Kit's would be nice for 2021
I'll second the return of the freq-mite. I seem to use it on anything that doesn't have a dial or digital readout. Although I am sitting here thinking about the crystal spotter in an HW-8 has a dial

Possible Bayou Jumper operating event
Calling all Agents...
How's this for an event to simulate how it was done "back in the day"
We recruit a QRO station (biiiiiig honkin' leenyar) to be "London"
"London" sits down on, say 7105 kHz,

Re: For what is a crystal spotter used?
The question asked was, "why not just power the Bayou Jumper's oscillator, but not the PA, and just listen for the signal in the receiver?"
The answer is - The Bayou Jumper does in fact work exactly

Thanks for this, John. I had in mind an actually transmitter and only used the handheld as a receiver. Something like the Ingram Hamfest Buddy transmitter from years ago.

Any crystal.
The radio doesn’t matter, it’s stand alone.

My vote is also to ressurect the
Soup'er Up'er now that the BJ is back. It would greatly enhance the rig and the wheel would not have to be reinvented.
Best regards,
Gary, K7EK
