Re: What Kit's would be nice for 2021
The Nixie community has several options for HV power supplies.
Just google “Nixie high voltage power supply”
Most are geared to 170 volts DC but there are some that are adjustable to near 450

What might the eBay link be for the crystal spotter you purchased for $10?
Jim, N5IB would you allow the 4SQRP group to sell either the PC board or a kit for your Crystal Spotter? I

I'm not so interested in the tube type kits.
I still remember helping my high school buddy trouble shoot his HW-101 and getting knocked across the room from the HV in the plate circuit.

Re: What Kit's would be nice for 2021
There are options for HV power supplies with the chinese boards. There are a few that can generate HV from low DC... Especially at these current levels.

A simple frequency spotting modification kit for legacy Bayou Jumpers.
Mot a "mod" but rather an accessory...
look at:
https://qsl.net/n5ib/ or https://qsl.net/n5ib/Crystal_Spotter_Instructions.pdf
Easy, easy scratch build...... y'all could lobby 4SQRP for a kit
