I completely concur with Bart's advice. The only caveat I would add is to disconnect the attic antenna (as I do) when the storm is close, the EMP from a close by lightning strike can be savage and

We are headed towards a sun spot minimum in the 11 year cycle of sunspot activity. Due to that fact I believe that 80 will really come into play as a QRP playground for the next few years. You

My Apple Airport extreme is quite on al bands. In fact, on all bands switching the APX on and off has no noticeable impact.

I use Open Office and it worked fine for me. As long as you got it to work for you that's great.

Some of the photo files are quite large so in Word they may only print 1/4 of the picture. I found copying it and pasting into Paint does work as I can resize it there. One should set the
