I've seen RCA plugs used on the ends of RG-58 or RG-8X coax before. That at least means 50 ohm cable, even if the RCA plug/socket does have a blip of a different impedance. I think audio cable is

Interesting information. One of the things that prompted my question was the fact that I couldn't find any normal coax cables with RCA ends. Made me wonder about all those RCA jacks I'm seeing
