Don't know about the copying, but she didn't even try to grab the key or anything.  Just sat there listening and not being a stereotypical "terrible two year old".

Jim,
Ah, the rhythmic music of the code, what a sweet enchantment it weaves.... Keep her coming to the shack and she'll be hooked. By the way, better to shovel snow with a shovel than a pacemaker :)
By the way, that small power supply I got from you is an absolute jem, Thanks again.

Yeah Jerry,
Her dad said that was the first time she had ever gone to a total stranger's place and not been fussy.  We did volunteer to serve as babysitters anytime we were available and they needed someone to watch her.  Don't have any grandkids, so might be nice to wind up with a surrogate one.

Unfortunately she HAS already discovered cell phones!  One of the toys they brought along for her to play with was a toy cell phone!  She didn't pay any attention to it after she discovered CW though, so there IS hope after all.

Getting used to the format and kind of like it very much. Sometimes I don't have time to weed through the emails but this way I can pull it up when time permits and follow the threads as well.

Hopefully, your antenna is withstanding the snow and cold... that is tracking across the country.
I'm waiting for more snow.. higher winds, and lower temps.... before I go try to put my antennna back in the air.

See you this afternoon.

I saw this and wondered what the heck a Flying Pig QRP Kit was. Did a Google search and ended up on W8DIZ's page. What an amazing sounding transceiver. For $40, I had to take a gamble and order one. Now when the snows clear in Utah, I need to get serious on my antennas again. Been off the air on HF (and QRP) for far too many years. This new Flying Pig can join up with my current QRP collection consisting of an HW-9, Tuna Tin Two, and a "Fun Ceiver" from 73 Magazine years ago.

Check out our "Never ending Worked All Pigs" contest and the monthly "Run For The Bacon" CW sprint too. Lots of fun and good CW practice to boot.

BTW, you'll love that "Pig Rig" too. Get on 7030.7 and oink out an OO instead of a CQ - never know how many piggies will "oink" back at you.
