It was waaaay cool to copy ur signal from the kayak. really neat. I'm glad some Dave and Walt turned up as well, Dave and Walter are both excellent ops and were probably best placed to get a good copy on you.
When you get a moment give us the rundown on the station, you know, ant, rig, boat etc. My card will be on the way this morning. Thanks for increasing the FQ (fun quotient).

Thanx for another great banner Walter. The picures were excellent and I enjoyed
reading Joe's and Brian's articles, both are good friends and FB hams.

The counterpoise article by John, PD7MAA was quite interesting to me. I'm
puzzling a bit on why a shorted coaxial stub would be much different than a
hunka wahr, since the quarterwave transforms the short at the end to vy high
impedance at the feed point. Maybe it's acting kinda like a stub filter such as
used on some multi-multi FD stations, by appearing as a short everywhere except
the band of interest.
Anyone have any thoughts on it? John has a very interesting 20M vertical on
his QRZ.com web page http://www.qrz.com/db/PD7MAA Looks like he's working some
stub magic on that one too.

Good stuff and FB NL again, kudos to Walter.
