Bands were great tonight! I made both 40's and the 80m nets. I tried my best for the PSK but W1AW hammers me from up frequency. They never fall under 30 over. Wish my station worked that well heh heh.

Re: 80M CW Net

It took me a while to get Terry's attention.  I tried "tail-ending" when a QNI was concluded. Tried after a QRZ? and a few of his CQs and finally made it.

One important note was that Terry's 569 signal was the best of all the QNIs I heard since the start of the net except for Randy, KB4QQJ, who was 599 in NJ.

Second, I shivered every time Terry announced his temperature as 30 deg. F.  That's because it was 50 deg. F here during the net.  That's going away tomorrow and may not be seen for any evening until next year.

Charles, W2SH

It's not next door to me (191 miles) but I see no problems going there for Saturday at least. I hope to see some of you there and I'm looking forward to a lunch or dinner get together. I'll have to use my private slush fund as I'm currently unemployed and attending school so money is tight.

Any recommended inexpensive hotels/motels? The Best Western looks OK and that is about as much as I can afford and leave a little something for the Hamfest. I'm free on Friday so I rather go on Friday morning and stay until Saturday and make it a mini vacation.

Hope to see everyone there.
