I'll see if I can't jump on (no guarantees - depends on if I have any honey-do's tonite), but will probably be QRO with the FT-920 - I don't have my 817 hooked up right now.  Maybe I'll start off with 100W and drop it down and see if I can still make it!

Not a major difference than using a cheap little european DTV dongle with RTL-SDR.  I've got one of them, with the Ham-It-Up upconverter to raise HF signals by 100MHz - it's a neat little toy to play with.  Need to get some filtering into it - the local FM station overloads the front-end of the upconverter pretty easily.
