Re: yahoo groups problems

Things have gotten much better (?) since yesterday morning.  Some of the features and functions that owners use weren't there or didn't work. They all do now.

Conversations is the term GMail uses for messages,  It's different but it works.

Check out the options in the menu bars and banners along the top banners under the picture.  That's also where the message shows up when there are requests for approval to join.

Group owners and moderators can change the picture.  Mouse over the picture of hats and a box shows up on the right side to let you do that.

Check the picture I added to the QRPme kits  Also the QRP-Tech group and the HFPack group.

Everything seems to be there now just in different places and you need to fish around with the menus and options.

I appreciate that.. that's a very nice offer.
What I should do.. if I only could... is gather a truck load of stuff for you to haul down for me.
But no, don't worry, I wouldn't do that to you. But it looks to me that this just might be the way to
let a lot of this get used by others.
Or.. Brutus might have stuff to munch on all winter long.

Thank you.. I would take a rain check tho.. just in case it works for next year. k?

Have a great day,

September treated me kindly with QNIs to all three CW nets from NJ.  For a change, there was no SSB QRM on 40m.  When I tuned up on 80m I landed on WØSS's traffic net on 3.564 mHz.  Coming back a little later I had the good sense to tune a bit higher and there was Terry at a very readable 559.

With the normal get on the air activities, tailgate goodies, first flight of the
4sqrp Skyhooks, camp cooking.......wow Big Brutus Bash is a destination!!!!!!

I do have a box of air variable capacitors, analog panel meters, and other
radio gems to bring along.

Actually this BB Bash may be better than a Hamfest!

We have a tent, so there is plenty of room on a pad for someone else.

Re: Brutus Bash tailgate items..

Hi Jim,

Well, I paid the asking price of $190.00 for it about 3 years ago... Its in real good shape, I had it in the air for about a year. Used
it very little. It was going to be for my dad, but he is getting
up there (he'll be 92 this fall) and he didn't feel like having me put it up at his place, so I thought I would try it. I have a
beam antenna now and some other things on the pole, so decided that
there might be some interaction with it so close to the beam, and
decided to take it down.

I would like to get $120 for it..

I'll be sure to bring it along so you can have it if you decide you
want it.. I hope to be there Friday afternoon and set up my tent
and then shortly after that, an antenna or two. Then depending on
who is around, either car pool into town for some chicken (heard they have a great place for that in Pittsburg) OR will fire up the grill
for some steaks! Yumm.. already getting hungery! haa!

I have a number of batteries too, but I think I will just leave them home for the most part. I have some for the rigs and then one for
the fan in the tent, if needed !
