Is the Wednesday night talk group via CW or voice? the terms "ragchew" and "chat' are used, so just wanted to clarify.

That Banner should be part of the Resource Page...….. be a shame to loose it in the archives of newsletters.

Good tips,

I worked for over 30 years as an electronics technician, and that's the first three-legged transistor I've seen with lettering on the back side of the device! I can see where this situation could be confusing. In my opinion, you have Q2 installed correctly. When you look at transistor datasheets, the manufacturer shows the pinout according to the shape of the device, not the lettering.

Interested in your experiences and tips using the FT-817 and MiracleWhip antenna

Dr Jim Kennedy

I am very interested in your experiences and tips using the FT-817 and MiracleWhip antenna either indoors or out? Did you use a counter poise and if so what length? Also, distances confirmed using this setup.

I have used on CW and have logged QSOs of over 450 miles with simple 23' wire counterpoise on 40 meters.

Look forward to hearing your experiences.
