Brian & Russ.
I was on frequency last night and heard the beginning of your qso and hearing you both well, I can confirm that I heard NW VA, but then, I was only about 200 miles away.

Brian, good afternoon.

Yes I think I know what happened. Toward the end of our QSO there were times you dropped out and I missed a letter or two, so I think I dropped out to you as I was saying that "my QTH is Broadway, VA in the NW part of VA". Actually I often say in "The Shenandoah Valley of VA" which better describes my location. Let me know when you find the best time for your life schedule for a repeat QSO. I would love to chat more with you about the K2 radios.

I have one from Harbor Freight that sounds very similar and one from Edmund Scientific, that's even older, maybe 35 years old, but neither has the light feature and that sounds particularly useful these days. Thanks to the list for this tip. I just ordered one.

Thanks Paul,
You, Brian and Russ were all plenty strong and readable here in eastern NC, on 7122. My antenna is an inverted v up 45', and I was running 5 watts.
Nothing heard on 3564 kHz, except a very weak WA7 briefly at 0134 or 35.

I doubt they will pass over in time for the Net.

By chance they do, I will post again on the reflector.

If your in the clear and want to give NCS a shot, go for it!
