Hilltopper 40 working great

KB9BVN - <kb9bvn@...>

A million thanks to Steve Miller N0SM for building my HT 40 and shipping it to me this week.  I got it yesterday and he even did the audio mods for me.  Fired it up and worked VA3ZB up in Ontario within a couple of minutes.

A million thanks to Four States QRP Group and that all around good guy Dave Benson K1SWL for the design. I really like the little dude (the radio).

Looking forward to taking this with my HT20 to the field and operating outdoors. I blew the dust off my old PAC-12 antenna and I have the station almost ready to go out and play.

Thanks again all y'all!

Keyer

David Wilcox

Someone was looking for the $20 Chinese keyer recently. I just found an original 4SQRP EZKEYER kit (original version. Original docs can be seen in the “retired” section of the 4SQRP web site) with printed instructions in my “to be built” drawer. Since I already have built the EZKEYER III I will sell the kit with instructions for $20 including shipping. In perusing the instructions it looks like a full featured keyer without a case. It gives instructions on how to install it in an Altoids tin.....

I should sell the III version as I have other keyers...... anyone tempted? Price to be negotiated.

Please contact me off list if interested at Djwilcox01 at g mail dot com

In addition to the other kits listed, consider the OzQRP DCT & MDT. Both 40m DSB units with the DCT supporting CW as well.

CONUS shipping and I do have Paypal and through a friend, an online payment could be arranged, too.

Paul,

No problem.

I was first licensed in 1966. Have always preferred CW. Had never used an electronic keyer before the one incorporated into my Hilltopper 20. I'm hooked. I've had my eye on that "iambic keyer. New from China" for a while. No need at this time for a contest capable version. Just something I can call CQ with automatically and build sending skills with.

Thanks Paul for all you and the guys and gals at 4SQRP do.
