Re: Nouveau 75 Errata help for ceramic resonator mounting
JOE CULWELL
The resonators are indeed blue. The resonators can have 2 or 3 leads. The 2 lead version uses the outside holes only. The leads and holes align well. If it fits "nicely" it is correct. 73, Joe WB0YFL

Nouveau 75 Errata help for ceramic resonator mounting
Jerry Brown
The ceramic resonators x1, x2 and x3 are blue and have two leads;;; There are 3 holes in the circuit board for soldering each of these components... Which 2 of the 3 holes in each respective location should these components be matched with? 73, Jerry N4EO

Where does the CLK1 on the synthesizer chip go to? Can't find it on the schematic. Thanks.

Sounds good to me. I have used a 6 watt exit light bulb and socket as a dummy load and it worked fine. I used it once with a home brewed tuner and tuned for full brilliance hi hi de Paul

When I was a Novice I didn’t have a code oscillator so I used a incandescent lightbulb as a dummy load on my 1 watt 80 meter CW transmitter to practice sending. Then one day I got a return call on my ARC-5 receiver giving me a 559 report from about 20 miles away. Oops!

this should be great fun.
Short story. Going to college, on the third floor of the dorm, with a Swan 350c and a light bulb dummy load, from Ft.Collins Colorado,
on 75m to Dallas Tx. Had a 15 min Qso, and drove my roommate nutz with the blinking light.
That was the best two inverted vees in phase antenna.
Have a great day,

Re: I saw a Gene Autry show
K4CEH
I have a CD here with a Roy Rogers and a Gene Autry movie. When I was a kid we could get in the local theater on Saturday for nine cents. Why that price really don't know. For your hard-earned cash you got to see a drama film, then a Western, then a newsreel, then an adventure serial, then a cartoon -- and even the previews for upcoming films were worth watching. The era was the late forties. Chuck, K4CEH 82 the next time around.

The name of the 4SQRP group Murania came from the Gene Autry movie serial the "Phantom Empire" You can see all twelve of the episodes http://arcive.org. Then search "Phantom Empire". Look for the box that says episodes 1-12 and have a great time. You will find the Origin of the radio's name and where the atomic symbol on the Murania comes from. My Murania is a daily user. I listen to WSM Nashville and 1280 kcs out of Columbia. At night I have heard WLS, Alanta and many other DX broadcast stations. If you don't have one get one you will have fun. 73 Everett Catlin N5MZX 4SQRP No. 1314

I saw a Gene Autry show
Paul Smith
This morning i was channel surfing instead of cleaning and came across a show about Gene Autry. There was a several minute segment of the Radio Ranch Show and many scenes from Murania. Now I will research and see if I can find any more. Murania kit sales have remained good and I will have to kit again next week as my stack of boxed up ready to mail kits is growing low. have a good one all. I am talking to my sons to see if they will attend Brutus with me. until later remember to drink all your milk and say your prayers

Nouveau 75 Errata
nm0s_qrp <ai9e_qrp@...>
For those who have just purchased our new Nouveau 75 kit, a sharp-eyed builder has spotted two errata in the manual dated 7-21-19. They are:
1. The instruction manual dated 7-21-19 has incorrect directions for inserting Q2. It should read: 'Insert Q2 with the large flat side facing the RIGHT of the board.'
2. Instructions for connecting the ribbon cable were incomplete. Pin 1 on the PCB connects to the LED board terminal labeled 'CLK'. A corrected manual will be uploaded to the kit web page soon. 73 Dave Cripe NM0S
