Charles,
Thanks for clearing up the presence of SSB on 7.122. Since I’m a total CW newbie I wasn’t aware of the overlap between US, Canada and South America.

I think that might have been me you heard asking for QSP (relay) to net.  The QSO on 7122 I also heard. Remember that even in Canada they can work SSB all the way down to 7050, and it’s very common to have SSB QSOs from South America between 7100 and 7125 - with no significant QRM from the US stations.

No 4sqrp joy for me. Maybe next week.

What I did encounter, after hanging around awhile, was a foreign language QSO on 7.122. I double checked to make sure I was in CW mode and that 7.122 is in the CW portion of US frequency allotment. I took it as half a QSO and not a foreign broadcast service transmission.
My radio is KX3 and the antenna is an AlexLoop.
Any thoughts?

Back when I was a novice, I and a number of other novices worked a Canadian station who was on SSB cross mode. He told his friend he liked to do this to give the new American stations some DX. WQ8S/WN8IOP

Until now I thought my receiver(s) were the culprit.  Perhaps it’s time to move away from known QRM on 7.122 ?
