Soup'er Up'er for the Bayou Jumper

davemrtn

I had 9 extra Soup'er Up'er printed circuit boards from the prototype/beta board run, and they were all purchased at OzarkCon by noon on Saturday.

This is a message for those that purchased those boards.  Decals were included with the board for labeling the filter switch & fine tuning pot on the Bayou Jumper front panel.

Decals are easy to apply, especially if you ever built some plastic model cars, but should you experience an unexplainable boo boo and need another set, let me know and I will see if I can get another set to you.

Let me know how your build goes, and your critique of the operation of the board.

I included in your package, a link for the manual, and the manual includes a Bill-Of-Materials with part numbers and vendor source for the needed parts.

I feel you will agree this little board does 'Soup Up' the Bayou Jumper, which is a GREAT & FUN radio kit to begin with !!

This weekend was a blast, the cricket is a sweet little rig!  I'm setting up two areas, one for bagging buzz kill parts and the other for the laminator!  I really wished I paid more attention to Jim's presentation about laser printers and the pc art... I'll find it over the next few days.

I'm hand sketching a circuit now, next will be breadboarding it. Then the art and pc board later.

Thank you to everyone!

Sorry I do not have the parts list with me
at the moment but these should be readily
known, I bought two 6-50 pF variables but the
caps are twice as big dementionaly then the other
two.  I think by memory they are C20 and C31
the ones mounted under the board.  But decided
not to put my replacement cap on the board.  I
trimmed the cap’s leads to fit in the holes, but the
size is just to obvious.  SO, I am looking for the

order a couple, and then that small rectangular
cap that measures nothing at all, neither short or
open or capacitance : )  Sorry, but I do not remember
it specifically so will try to figure that one out.
Bottom line, I need one or two of those very small
4-20 ??? variable caps.  If you have a couple to maybe
sell me it would save a headache or two, but
glad to order when I find out the specifics.
Maybe the 4-20 is physically smaller then the
6-50???   Don’t remember having more then one
of these around.  So if the size is proportional to
the capacitance, then maybe my search will be
a lot easier.  : )  Thanks for the bandwidth and
