I'm going to 3D print mine.  If you can't find something, I might be able to print one.

OK, this will probably cause the market to dry up on these.  Walmart has in the stationeries section a stackable box with a removable lid that is just right for a multitude of projects in the building stage and after to house the completed kit.

The inside dims: 3-7/8 x 2-7/8 x 1-1/4 inches.

They cost a whole buck, been using them for a couple of years, great item IMO.

Take a look next time you venture out.

With one caveat. If you build it as specified, with the switch on the bottom, you can't shut the lid without turning it on and running down the battery.
But if you put the switch on the top, and are careful not to let the switch tabs poke through the bottom of the board, you can put a piece of plastic electrical tape over the bottom side switch pads, tuck it in an Altoids and shut the lid.

If you have a Sucrets tin, I think that fits without issue even with the switch on the bottom.

The 3D print alternative is there also, even if you don't have ready access to one. There may be a "Maker" group near you that does that stuff, and many public libraries now have 3D printers that you can submit files to and they will print them for a very nominal cost.

The original Hobby Lobby box SKU #299743S was discontinued. I was told this today at our Hobby lobby store in Columbia, Tn. I was also told that other stores may have some remaining stock. I will rig something up. Good luck and hope to see you on the air.

But you said stayed **above 30 mA**   How much above? 40 or 50 mA would be a problem.
What's your power supply voltage? If it's a 13.8 V supply the current will be only a few mA more than what I measured with a 12 V supply.

All indications point to a zapped U1, so go ahead and contact Steve the Kitter for a replacement.
His email contact info is at the bottom of the Bayou Jumper kit page.

While you are waiting for that you can go ahead and check out the transmitter section. It's completely independent of the receiver.

With the chip out the voltage stayed above 30ma soon as put  the chip in starts getting warm then the  the numbers are crazy.
