SSS Results for August
John Lonigro
Chas (W2SH) has done it again. He's the August Second Sunday Sprint winner. He had 5 QSOs with members or 10 points total. Chas was followed by the usual suspects: Johnny AC0BQ with 8 points and Gary KF7WNS with 5. Notable this month is the fact that we had 10 participants, including 3 who tried but struck out. Congratulations to all who tried. Conditions were rough throughout much of the country on Sunday. Storms in the midwest didn't help matters. We can only hope for better conditions in the months ahead.
Chas will receive his 1st place certificate shortly. Again, congratulations to all and let's try to get even more participation next month. It's a lot more fun that way. 72, John, AA0VE 4SQRP Contest Coordinator

Wed. night PSK
Dick Hammond
John, AA0VE / Paul N0NBD Sorry fellows for shutting down the PSK net just when you were getting setup. My xyl's requiring more help since Cancer treatment, she's doing OK but for now I need to help her. I would suggest startup this fall and round robin the net. I will be glad to assist and would do a special session anytime you suggest on 40M or 80M. Just let me know and I will fire up. 73's Dick N0TGR

Re: 4S PSK net
John Lonigro
Paul and Johnny (and everyone else): The 80M PSK net listed on the website is out of date. The PSK net has been held on 40M (7070.5) for several months. However, last week, the PSK net control, Dick (N0TGR), announced that he had to suspend the net indefinitely. I don't think he gave a reason. He suggested either someone else pick it up or else have a "round robin" net. Tom (W0MFQ) and I just got our KX3's all set up with cables to try out PSK about a week ago (bad timing). I wasn't heard on the net last week and Tom was still trying 80M. Unless someone volunteers to be net control, I suggest we do what Dick suggests, make it a round robin get-together, sort of like several people on a local 2M repeater. At least try that for a few weeks to see what the response is. 72, John AA0VE
