Re: Thursday Morning Net Redux
w2sh@...
I tuned in to the Thursday morning net at 8:10 CST. Wasn't too sure what net procedures I was hearing (or not hearing). At any rate, KK5IB, KV6Z and WØIX were 559/569 here in NJ. I tried dropping my callsign a few times; also did "4SQRP de W2SH". No luck. Thereafter it seemed pretty much rag chew time. 599 RSTs had already been universally exchanged. I tried to join in, but I wasn't a member of the 599 club. With each minute of daylight (remember I've got about 70 minutes more of that stuff than you guys), signals became weaker. Finally at 8:25 CST I pulled the QRT plug. Went outside to continue work on a new 80m antenna. 72, Charles (aka Chas), W2SH To: 4sqrp@...; dekle@... From: 4sqrp@... Thursday Morning Net Redux
dekle@...
Good morning everybody.
Well, after I checked into the Sunrise Net on 7123 I scampered over to 7122 to see if there was any action. I called CQ and got Phil W0XI right away and we had a nice chat. Then I got a call from Bart W0IIT and he said that no one had called the net yet and suggested that I try it. So, against my better judgement, I gave it a shot running 5W on my KX3. Here are the results: 1422z W0IIT Bart Ks 579 ( The coldest at 16F.) 1431z AA5CO Bruce Ok 599 1436z W0XI Phil Ks 599 1438z WN0I Andy Mo 559 Signals were unusually good this morning. I wish that was always the case. Andy was a new 4S member for me and will go on my W25 list. Thanks Andy. 73 Bill KV6Z

Nov SSS Results
John Lonigro
Folks:
My apologies for the Sprint results being so late. I'm still waiting for one more score, but decided to publish what I've got as of now, figuring he's busy with other things tonight. Any corrections or additions will appear in the December results. Please try to send in your score as soon as possible after the sprint has ended, to keep from forgetting. Anyway, participation for November was up, with 11 scores being sent in so far. Let's try to keep the activity level this high (or higher) all year long. It will make the Sprints more fun for all. Thanks and 72, John AA0VE

I almost forgot about Micky and Minnie's hands, but my Timex just keeps on clicking and ticking! :-) Actually, I am a believer in Timex. I have worn them in adverse situations since I was a teen. I wore through the backs of many Timex watches until they abraded my wrist enough that I would buy another. I have had Bulova watches, and Seiko watches that were more decorative and fashionable, but I stick with my Timex as "old reliable". 73, Don W3FPR
