now.. what did I miss? oh.. 2300z = 4pm MT.. and 2345z + = 4:45pm or maybe just a bit later... because the 20m net ran over... See you there!! Have a great day, --... ...-- Dale - WC7S in Wy

Not a complaint because you and the other net controllers do a GREAT job. It would be a help to newbies if you all would always post time and freq when talking about a given net. I'm not stupid (much) and I know I could look it up. But some folks might be more likely to make note of the nets if this info (and day, of course) were posted in the message. TNX again for your hard work keeping the nets going. 73, Doc K5OSA

Hi Bill,

Thanks very much (muchas gracias as they would say here) for the report. It is comforting to know that I'm at least getting out some with my QRP power. Unfortunately, next Wednesday about net time I will be on a bus enroute to Panama City, a 300+ mile trip (only $15.21 fare though)! I will try to be on at other times in the evening or very early morning before antenna take down on Tuesday Nov. 11. We're in the rainy season here (April - November) and get daily rain every afternoon. Hearing a few of the boomers has made me want to refrain having antenna connected in the afternoons. Bands, except of the very higher HF frequencies seem poor today. Down here even WWV on 10 MHz is barely discernible right now, OK on 15 and poor on 20 MHz. and 20 meters seems wiped out here. 72, Don HP3/AE5K

Hi Don,
I heard you 329 in Oklahoma and didn't think it was quite enough to reliably QSP. I probably should have tried it anyway and may do that next time (if there is a next time). I didn't hear much of anything on the second 40m net. I'm running 5w to a 40/20 fan dipole at 43 ft. 73 Bill KV6Z

Don, Thanks for the report, very useful. I did call you a little before the late net started, that's likely what you heard and as you can see from the report after the 2 stations i did work on the late net it all went belly-up. I really appreciate reports from all stations no matter where you are reporting from as it is interesting to see what the band is/was doing. According to QRZ.com we're a little over 2k miles apart. As an aside to all the other folks out there go checkout HP3/AE5K on QRZ.com, very interesting Don, great entry. Above all enjoy your stay in Panama my friend. Give us a clue as to where on the waterfall we should look for your PSK signal. 72/3 es God Bless de Wayne - KC0PMH

Hi Tom and the 4SQRP group,
toggle quoted messageShow quoted text
You will be happy to know that your signals, especially on the early net, were being heard in the Republic of Panama last evening! QSB and QRM were both bad here, but of all the check ins, your signal was the strongest. But even then, I messed up in determining your call hearing the U as a T (QSB dropping out the two dits?). I did hear you send the name "Wayne" along with signal reports. KV6Z was also heard with a signal slightly less than yours, and I was able to identify Wayne, KC0PMH, quite a few times with a couple of his call characters in a row at a time. I could pick up bits and pieces of other check ins but not enough to identify. Propagation was worse for the late net, hearing KC0PMH in there a little before the 8:30 start time but did not identify anyone. And I had some lid on voice apparently filling with airwaves with SSB testing just a little above 7122, and another tester that appeared to be very strong with a 2 kHz wide white/pink noise periodically covering 7122 completely -- I've never seen anything like it on the waterfall. Apparently no one on the net heard my calls to net control. I was running about 4 watts from the western-most province of Panama (Chiriqui - see qrz.com for HP3/AE5K). I've had multiple problems here with my station, but have worked AJ, W5HEH in my county at home on 17 meters SSB amongst others on CW and PSK31 on various bands 40 thru 15. Murphy is still with me. Wayne if I had been on time and got my call in first we might have made it but every transmission of yours was weaker to me until you just weren’t there anymore:-( I would think the later net would be worse rather than better. I will give a listen but have faint hope.
I hope Mona is doing better than back during the Brutus Bash. We are just plugging away up here in the Pitts!!!! cu es 72, Bart
